Movie on jade Buddha statue released for charity

VietNamNet Bridge - The film crew who made the movie about the journey of the world largest jade Buddha statue in Vietnam has presented 10 million dong and 140 gifts worth around 15 million dong to disabled kids at the Ky Quang pagoda in HCM City.

This film was shot by Director Diep Van within three months. The movie recorded the trip of the world jade Buddha statue in Vietnam, from the Quan The Am pagoda in Danang to Dai Tung Lam pagoda in Ba Ria- Vung Tau to HCM City’s Pho Quang and Hoang Phap pagodas, Dong Thap’s Van An pagoda and Bac Ninh’s Phat Tich pagoda.

 

The film crew will present gifts to disabled kids in three other pagodas, sourced from the income of this movie.

 

According to the filmmakers, around 50,000 DVDs of this film have been distributed in Vietnam. They plan to distribute the film in the US to advertise Vietnamese Buddhism.
